I saw this little rascal coming out of a gas station today and I cannot get it out of my mind. It has been a long time since I lusted over a vehicle, but I am lusting big time. This thing looks like a blast dudes!!!

It is a promotional buggy that Tetco is having a drawing for. Didn't have time to get and specs on it (I was working) but in person it looks like you are literally sitting on the ground like a go-cart. How cool is that.

It's called a T-rex. They look like a hell of a lot of fun to "drive". Very expensive though.

T-rex. Thank Pat, now I have something to work with. Doubt I can afford it, but knowing that much I will be able to at least look around ... and who knows, maybe when I pay down some debt!!? :p

Looking at the specs for the three models...the 14R and the 14RR models have inline 4-bangers while the V13R has a 1250cc H-D Revolution powerplant.

If I was gonna spend that kind of dough I would get a Liberty Ace. Not as flash, but class.

I'd rather have a V8 Ariel Atom :D

500 horses and 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds. Shifts in 50 milliseconds and revs to over 10,000 rpm.

if you aren't so concerned with the size of the motor, i have seen a 250cc version before for about 8 grand. you could also find one that looks like a can-am for about half that.

Seems to combine all the disadvantages of a motorcycle (helmet laws, M license) with all the disadvantages of a cage (isolation, fuel economy).

An Ariel Atom is about the same price and has insane performance, if you happen to have 50 kilobucks burning a hole in your pocket. The "base" 200hp model does 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and 0-100 in less than 11 seconds. By contrast, a GSX-R 1000 or one of the other liter sport bikes will do 0-100 in 8 seconds or so and is $13,500.

I have seen a T-Rex running around the area I live occasionally. They are cool but WAY over priced.

For that kind of money I could buy a Miata, have a LS3/6 Speed swapped into it, and run off an leave a T-Rex. Think Corvette but 700 pounds lighter with better weight distribution.

Think Corvette but 700 pounds lighter with better weight distribution.I was at an autocross last year and there was an [aluminum] V8 Miata, a turbocharged Miata, and a supercharged Miata. The supercharged car had slicks and did FTD.

The V8 fit surprisingly well. They all dusted the Cobra replicas but were better drivers.

Almost a Can-am Spyder

If you put some doors on it you could air condition it.

3 wheels means you hit every hole or bump.

These look silly to me, my opinion. No offense intended to anyone that doesn't.

Since I'm old and my eyes are shot, I read that as "Guess I'll just be a hooker." I figured you just found a way to get the T-Rex!! :doh :smoke

+1 on this. At 95-0 lbs, it really doesn't weigh much more than an E Glide.

Last time I checked, Ariel Atoms were not street legal. T-Rexs are.
