Just picked up my new '77 XLCR today. 6700 original miles, and in pretty nice shape. I had a huge shiteating grin on my face the whole way home. I caught a few people at stoplights with a look on their faces like "What IS that thing?" Well worth the pain in the ass of trying to find one.

The image size was too big to load here, so I posted it over on the Photo Gallery, in the Ironheads Only section.

Cool bike man!

I like those, but the chain guard always seems to look kind of too far rearward.
I noticed it on the one in Lee, NH, but thought it was just that bike.

This bike looks to be in great shape. :tour

It's in overall nice shape, never restored, just a well cared for rider. It came with a couple of trophies it's won in some local shows. The first big thing will probably be having the Morris Mag wheels redone somewhere.

VA...NICE JOB! Looks almost as good as mine! :) From your pics, everything looks stock! Enjoy it man! I'm posting a pic of mine, below. Let me know here, or via e-mail, if you have any questions or anything about the bike. Just hit about 6600 miles on mine, and had some work done this weekend - rejet carb, intake seals, points. Nice looking bike VA!

I'm definitely envious. I had a chance to ride one back in the early 90's. A buddy of mine had one that his dad had given him. I thought what the hell was that and swore it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. I didn't think it ran that well, and wondered why in the hell anyone would want one. Funny how times change ones opinion. I hope he still has it, and I hope I can someday own one or at least a decent looking replica. The lottery drawing is Saturday...
