XLXR,, howdy XD

I just got the Intimidators In the mail,,Itchin ta Install em,,
Questions tho...

Ok 2008 1200Roadster,,a STOCK bike still on factory 13.5" shocks
I'm 190 lbs nekkid,,,220 In gear including sissy bar and luggage rack

I have 3/4" added preload for proper fork sag and a Superbrace.
Running 10wt Bel-Ray fork oil,,,350 ml/11.6 oz

The Fork Oil Is New,,only 200 miles on It,,
Can I pull the springs and ease the Intimidators in with the springs
WITHOUT draining the fork oil If I'm careful and slow ???

Can I pump out air with the springs out to saturate the Intimidators ??

I hope to Install today late,,friday 5/13 but will wait for tomorrow to
hear from you.

Thanks In advance XD

Ricor recommends Amsoil synthetic 5w fork oil, when adding Intiminators.

The viscosity of suspension fluids is not as consistent over different brands and formulations as is engine oil. If you can't stay with Amsoil, at least make sure to get a synthetic 5w.

Using 5w is important to reduce rebound damping which works better with the Intimators. 10w is stock oil viscosity when not using Intiminators.

The important thing about pumping the forks is to get all the old oil out, and after refilling to get all the air out. If you put in the Intiminators and pump the forks, the Intiminators will not go back down by themselves, so you have to push them down with the spring. It is just as easy to refill and pump the forks, then add Intiminators, just push them slowly down into the oil so the air/ oil bleeds out from under them.

In rare cases, the inside diameter of the fork tubes is off a bit. The Intiminators should not slide down by themselves, but slide easily under the weight of the spring. If the ID of the forks is on the small side, you can trim the butted ends of the seal for a better fit, sort of like piston rings. You want the ends to butt together when compressed by the ID of the forks.

You will probably need to reduce shock preload.

The Intimidator rundown,, I still need to do a real test run,,Rain only let me do 3 measly miles,,

Ok the 3 mile rundown...
I'm gonna keep this simple n short.
Bike feels good when braking,, kinda nice having some travel left when hard on the brakes and a bump shows up.
My tires were cold so I had ta take It easy.

The 45 mph run on the lumpy not bumpy road,,less chassis movement. not profound but less.
Can't wait to do 80 on the superslab.
