View Full Version : My 88" rebuild numbers jimmyheadgear 13th August 2005, 16:39 Here's the dyno sheet. barry1967 13th August 2005, 17:37 Could you translate that for us. It is to small to read. Thanks :D HotRodSporty 13th August 2005, 17:42 Could you translate that for us. It is to small to read. Thanks :D I second that.. mordak 13th August 2005, 17:43 What they said. :D jimmyheadgear 13th August 2005, 17:46 Could you translate that for us. It is to small to read. Thanks :D Sure. It looks like the air/fuel ratio is all over the place. It dips below 10:1 in the 3000-3500 range. It's not close to 12.5 in alot of the range. So that needs to be tuned. I'm a little disapointed with the numbers, which are 86 h.p. and and 100 lbs. of torque. I know my cam sucks, when I get some cash I'll be swapping the SE's out for some Red Shifts, so that will make a little difference. I put a call in to Aaron or Justin to see what they think. ted 14th August 2005, 18:49 I'm thinking that if it was mine 115 horses and 115 torque minimum. Back in my racing days I made 101 hp and 90 lbs with stock 1200 heads, no portwork. Nallin can tell ya about cam choice, the rest looks pretty good. Ya might even see 120 horses with a good tune after the right cams go in. Ted raysheen 14th August 2005, 18:52 I say that with a good tuning and a set of red shifts that you will see a substantial difference Turbota 15th August 2005, 05:03 Looking at your AFR ... I think you would be better off with a Mikuni HSR 42 carb. Like someone else said ... The AFR is all over the place. Looks like your off the chart at around 3,000 rpm. Any chance of posting a little better photo. Yours is next to imposible to read. Predator 15th August 2005, 05:31 The HP is is there Jimmy you just got to tune it. You look very rich from 2250 on. Your torque is dropping at 4500 as with your afr. I just looked at that graph again. Your torque and HP curves should be crossing at 5250. Just wondering how accurate that graph/dyno is. Must feel awesome at 3500 though. I can't wait to get mine done. Btw, Justin recomended the Mik45 for me. Practically the same build apart from cams. (.536) jimmyheadgear 15th August 2005, 14:07 Any chance of posting a little better photo. Yours is next to imposible to read. It was printed with really small type. I uploaded it to my site but the quality is the same. When I view the sheet on my computer I have to use Windows Picture Viewer or Paint, to zoom in. I don't know how to zoom in and save the zoomed in copy. |
