Anyone know what happened to clubchopper.com? I have been tryin to pull it up for 2 days now with no luck1? Is it just my computer for some reason!? :chop

Damn it! I hate not knowing what is going on! I REALLY HOPE IT COMES BACK!! I just joined that site and i love it! I think it prolly has the best XL chopper info! Anyone else know of another really good XL chopper site!?

Lots of forums go down because they try to run them with a hosting company that does not coast much, 7 - 10 per month. Problem with that is that popular forums require a lot of server power and on the cheap rentals you are sharing the server with anywhere from 100 - 200 other websites. When the server admins see that you website if taking too much of the server power they will cut you off without notice.

We had the same problem here until I started renting a dedicated server. The XL Forum took off like a rocket and we were crashing the server after about six months. We moved 3 more times to semi-decidicated servers but kept crashing them.

But most webmasters do not wanna pay $150 or more a month just to run a forum. Then when you have a dedicated server you have to do all the server admin yourself which is a lot trickier than just putting up a website or forum.

Yeah, that is a good site. I joined it as soon as I got my shovelhead. Huge amounts of info with minumal dickheads. I hope they get up soon.

According to Ace, the site went down to swap servers again yesterday. It was suppose to be back up shortly. Must be having troubles. Hdforums is down too. Club chopper is so big, with over 10,000 members and a bunch of sponsors. They have had a lot of new members sign up recently.

I joined Club chopper probably 2-3 years ago. There were only an handful of guys on there. The site has grown so much that they often overstep the bandwidth. But I don't go there all that much anymore. Just check in every so often. A lot of guys with big mouths there, was getting kind of annoying at times.
