I haven't ridden one of these, as if I would want to, and as if someone would let me, or even seen one in person, but a HD salesman told me about the "v-rod race bike". I saw on one the web site of Trev Deely HD in British Columbia.

Pretty interesting ride, if you want a no warranty, race ready(supposedly), go to race, non - street legal bike with slicks, a wheelie bar, and nitrous, from the factory. Scroll down to the last bike on "customs".

No nitrous it is NHRA AHDRA legal out of the box. All you would need to buy is leathers helmet gloves and your tether. Matter of fact Cycle World did a test of it at the LA County Fairplex in Pomona CA back a few months ago. Ran 9's and 10's with no testing. Was so quick the NHRA shut down the test till the riders could get NHRA Competion Driver's Licenses. Under a certain ET your only requierment to race and NHRA sanctioned event is a valid State Driver's license.

The V Rod Destroyer was built for the serious racer. This bike is ready to go out of the box. All you need is leathers, helmet, tether, gloves, and boots.

There was , I think, 37 of them at the AHDRA drags in Gainesville in March. All but a couple ran between 9.3 and 9.7 going out the back door at between 137 and 141 mph. $30,000 +/- for a full blown race bike is really not too bad. Just, more than I have.

Not arguing with anyone, but 9.3 being a full blown race bike? Can get a mostly stock 1200 sporty run low 13's, add another 2 grand, someone else doing the work, and you can break into 10's if you really have your staging set up right. Thats a rider of around 170-180 lbs, also the bike is still in stock trim.

Gues Im just hating on the V-Rod, if I wanted a metric bike I would go buy a liter bike for 10 grand that will pull mid 9's, with a warranty.. lol.
