Does anyone know the head cc's for an 03 and earlier 883? I know the 04's are 49.5 cc's. But can't remember the earlier ones.

But can't remember the earlier ones. raysheen 31st December 2004, 17:50 03 and earlier 883s have 49.5-ish cc's as well, but you should really cc the heads for an accurate calculation as this number can be quite a bit off...only takes a few minutes and will give your final calculations that much more accuracy. barry1967 31st December 2004, 18:08 Thanks, I could have sworn the 03 and earlier were in the 50's somwhere. The reason I ask is that wiseco's website still only lists the 03 earlier pistons. If the 03's have bigger combustion chambers that throws off the comp ratio. I called them and asked what chamber volume the pistons were configured to and the guy couldn't tell me. :frownthre He was like" well what size are the chambers your using?" I said what difference does it make. I want to know what chamber size your pistons are based on and he said he didn't know. This is why some bikes ping on normal fuel and some don't ... manufacturing tolerances..
