I work in the parts dept. at Gail's HD/Buell in Grandview MO. We just moved into a 55,000 square-foot facility. If you're ever in the area, stop by and see us. So far I've got some of the taxes paid, baffles drilled, drag bar, Dragtron II, Kuryaken LED blackout tail, and laydown bracket installed. Next up is a Black Cherry chin spoiler and side covers, and a suspension lowering session. Happy New Year!

Welcome to the XLforum Rondall! I love that Black Cherry and of course the Sporty. I went to Wentworth Military Academy Jr. College years ago in Lexington, Mo.. Is Belton far from there?

Hey Rondall,

Welcome to the forum !!!

You've got a sharp looking bike there. Can you get me any discounts on shiny things ;) I have a couple friends that are into making their own fireworks. They have a party every 4th of July and one of them wears a shirt with that saying on it (if you see me running, try to keep up).

Rondall, Welcome to the forum! It's nice having a H-D representative here...you'll see some trends here that might spark the MoCo's interest! Very nice pick of rides you chose...catch any flak for buying a girlie bike from the geezer glide owners at the shop? Glad to have you on board and hope you stay a spell and share your thoughts with us!

Good ol' Missouri laws...

Excelsior Springs
# Worrying squirrels is not tolerated.
# Hard objects may not be thrown by hand.

Kansas City
# Installation of bathtubs with four legs resembling animal paws is prohibited.
# Minors are not allowed to purchase cap pistols, however they may buy shotguns freely.

Marceline
# Minors can buy rolling paper and tobacco but not lighters.

Marquette
# It is illegal for more than four unrelated persons to occupy the same dwelling (The Brothel Law).

Mole
# Frightening a baby is in violation of the law.

Natchez
# It shall be unlawful to provide beer or other intoxicants to elephants.

SWEET RIDE! Glad you chose a Sporty. Catchin' any grief from co-workers?!Two or three of the mechanics at the Syracuse dealer ride Sporties. It's just the bike sales staff that say Sorties are girlie bikes, cause they have a commision on the line. Those Sporties that the mechanics ride are pretty mean little bikes. It's pretty normal to see them taking off at closing time all doing wheelies down the road in front of the dealer.

Thanks for the positive comments. Actually no one has given me a hard time for the "girl's bike". I ride to work, four miles one way, even in single digit weather when no one else is brave (or stupid) enough to do the same.I tell them with the rubber mounts, it's more like a 7/8ths Dyna.

Rondal...What is your air cleaner cover?? It looks different but it may be the angle. The black cherry really looks good in the sun! Nice choice. No need to make excuses for the sporty...I routeenly smoke the dyna I ride with. Instead of 7/8th dyna...its 100% muscle! :smoke

Thanks! It's a Dragtron II A/C kit from Drag Specialties part# DS-289044. The breather bracket to fit it is DS-289062 and I replaced the Uni-filter with a 6" round 2" tall K&N #DS-289057. I was able to rummage through a box of spare parts at work, and found a pair of breather banjo bolts. Some tubing and a brass "T" completed the install. Shows off more of the right side and definitely better looking than the Ham Can.
