As far as HD making one, check the 2007 catalog, I believe that I saw the kit in there, it will cost alot more than the micro tach.

You could get the tach kit that would set you up like the roadster.

I think Kev M, may have put a tach on Jenn's low. I'm bored, so I'll do a search.
