I ordered in September, was billed in the beginning of November, haven't receieved the fork brace, and they haven't answered their phone the past two days nor responded to my inquiry entered on their site. Have they flown the coop?

When I ordered mine they were a bit slow on the draw. I'd keep calling. It is a nice product. Good luck.

Wow! There must be a Glitch! I ordered in October with the group buy. Had my brace about three weeks ago.

Good to know, I'm not usually the paranoid type but do appreciate at least a little "it's in the mail" over the phone.

How often does the group buy happen? I've decided that I want to get one.

Sorry guys about the disconnected phones. We've spent the last couple of days moving to a bigger facility and our phone lines and internet have been down.

We usually bill and ship the same day however Group Buys are a little different as we offer huge discounts because we machine larger than usually runs which costs us less and we then pass on the savings to you the members. The recent Group buy was extremely popular and we had to do a few runs to meet demand. I was told today that both the polished #5183 and Nightster SuperBraces have an ETA of 1-2 weeks.

Ludlow555 -We do Group Buys about every 1-2 years. I do know of a couple delaers that are currently running sales: www.onestopmoto.com, www.realhog.com & www.cyclesolutions.net.

Well, pretty much all has been answered but I just wanted to chime in that SB is a great vendor and I would trust them to get the product out!

You'll love it when you get it, and waiting a bit for that nice discount was probably worth it.

Good people over there, usually ON THE BALL for shipping and support.

When I ordered mine I had my OLD address in paypal, and the owner helped me track down my item through UPS.

Great people.

Is there a brace for 39mm midglides? All I ever see are 39mm narrow glide and 41mm wideglide.

Thanks for the info! I'm confused though. The sites don't specify that they carry the Nightster Superbrace. It there any difference in that item, or is it just cosmetic?

I had the same question, but they picked up the phone when I called them, maybe 10 days ago. I am trying to be patient, but it is now December 5th and I have been waiting since mid-October. I guess I will just throw it in a closet and put it on in the spring.

ludlow555 -

The Nightster SuperBrace is very similiar to the #5183 39mm Narrow Glide however we CNC machined a boss to accomdate the fork boots of the Nightster and we include the black finish in the pricing.

The Nightster is listed first when click n the Harley section - http://www.superbrace.com/proddetail.asp?prod=5184.

Will the 5183 fit with the Nightster's gaiters?
Sorry for all the questions. It's just that the vendor has a decent price and want to make sure I get the right item.

I ordered mine in October, it was billed on November 1, but I've heard nothing yet.

I'm only a few miles away in Costa Mesa, so I can pick it up if they're available.

Hey SB guys. This is getting ridiculous. You've had my money since November 1st, but as of today I have no Superbrace. It's been 6 weeks and if you can't ship in a timely manner, you shouldn't bill people's credit cards. I'm about to the point of just having the order cancelled and asking for a refund.

sb2005

xtheunknown,

We usually bill and ship within 48 hours of when the order is placed however your order was part of the Group Buy which has discounted pricing and slighter later delivery dates (early orders where taking from inventory until we ran out).

We're able to offer such huge discounts because we run larger than usual production runs which reduces cost and hence we pass the savings onto you, the members.

I'm pushing our production guys every day to get your parts ASAP however we ran into a couple unexpected delays due to our recent move.

Thanks for understanding,

SuperBrace

It's not like I need it urgently, but I don't like the direction this is going.

Ordered mine in October, it was billed 11/1 and now it's 12/31 and no brace.

I talked to Chris before Christmas, and said he'd ship it after I offered to come by to pick it up. Over a week, still no brace, and my office is only 8-10 miles from his place.

Starting to get concerned, enough so that if I don't have it by Friday, I guess I'll call MasterCard

Doxbike and fellow XL members,

I apologize for the delayed response as we were closed for the holidays. We are all now back in the office and will look in the status of the Nightster & late Group Buy Sportster orders and will post an update on this thread tomorrow with status.

Thanks

All Sportster SuperBraces have been shipped (Nightsters are next) and if you haven't recieved yet please email us directly for the quickest response. We now have all Sportster SuperBraces in stock. I can ensure that we always bill when we ship however Group Buys are usually 3-5 weeks out per production however our facility move along the holidays through a huge monkey wrench in the mix!

Well, it took long enough but my 'group buy' superbrace finally got here today.
I had recently posted that I thought they were scammers; well, they may be slow but they finally did live up to their commitment. And at least the fork brace was a non-essential bit of kit that I could afford to wait for.

Mine finally arrived Tuesday. I never believed they were scammers, I just thought the time between billing and shipping was excessive. That said, I can't wait to get it on the Sporty and see how it affects handling.

Has anyone received the superbrace for the nightsters (from the October group buy)???? The black one that works with the fork boots??

I'm starting to wonder if they even exist !!!!

sb2005
7th February 2008, 17:13
Yes, they do exist. I tell my boss everyday about these extremely hot parts! He then reminds me of the extensive amount of CNC work to accomadate the boots, polsihing and hard black anodizing considering our new builing conditions.

On a positive note, we shipped some out last week and should be finalizing all Nightster SuperBraces (both finishes) very shortly. I've attached a picture of the Denim Black SuperBrace for referrence.
