Just put a new Daytripper on my 2004 1200c a week ago. Overall not very impressed with the comfort level. My butt still gets a little stiff after 45 minutes or so. Maybe I should have bought a Corbin. I might sell it and try something else.
It's slightly more comfy than the stock seat, but dosen't look as good!

Give it a chance to break in.It gets better.I have one on my 04 1200R,and I thought the same thing at first.
But the more I road it,the better it got.
Now it`s almost at the point where I hardly ever think about it,which to me is what a good seat should do.
By no means is the Daytripper a touring seat, but it`s way better than the stocker.
And it looks way cool :smoke

Like Dooley said give it some miles. It took me about 2000 miles to break-in my Mustang Wide Vintage seat. I thought the same as you when I first got it but now I hardly think of it at all.

I've put about 500 miles on my Daytripper and couldn't be happier. Way more comfortable than the stocker. Haven't had a chance to do a real long trip yet, but I'm sure the ride will be nicer than my last long run.

I guess that true with all seats
I thought the stock seat was hard until I reached around 1000 miles then I actually liked it.
I put on an HD pillow look touring seat and didn't like the way that felt untill I put on another 1000 miles.
Now I like my seat and never get a sore arse.
Break in that seat 1st - you might like it

Still up in the air. After a 45 min. ride , ready for a break. I have a worthless butt, with little padding.

If my wide vintage solo doesn't work out for some reason, I''m going with the Daytriper-
