There's a little history here behind the joke that I think some of the newer members might miss if I don't fill them in.

The first XL forum contest was for a chrome sprocket cover that didn't fit on an '04. Guinessharp and me both gave the right answer, but he got the answer into Bert first so he was the winner. Since he couldn't use the part he pased it on down the chain to me, so I figure if Guinessharp wins again and the wrenches don't fit his bike I'm looking at some new wrenches :D Actually I'm hoping to win the contest someday so I can pay off my old debt ;)

There are no debts here in the XL! I am just glad the sprocket looks good next to those white walls. :tour but anyone should feel free to PM the contest answer to Gary, if he does not know it right away :laugh

Received this in an E-mail the other day, and
thought I would pass it on . . .

I assume you have all seen the reports about how Sears is treating its
reservist employees who are called up? By law, they are required to
hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people
take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up...Sears
is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all
benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all
called up reservist employees for up to two years. I submit that Sears
is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its
contribution.

Suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell
them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement
it well deserves.

I decided to check it out before I sent it forward. I sent the
Following email to the Sears Customer Service Department:

I received this email and I would like to know if it is true. If it
is, the Internet may have just become one very good source of
advertisement for your store. I know I would go out of my way
to buy products from Sears instead of another store for a like
item even if it was cheaper at the other store.

Here is their answer to my email .......................

Dear Customer:

Thank you for contacting Sears.

The information is factual. We appreciate your positive feedback.
Sears regards service to our country as one of greatest sacrifices our
young men and women can make. We are happy to do our part to lessen
the burden they bear at this time.

and sears craftsmen tools are guaranteed for life , the life of the tool not the buyer

I traded in a tool that my grandfather bought before my dad was born , it was broken and the sales lady told me not a problem , I told her it was from my grandfather and had been in the family forever and she let me keep the broken wrench too
they didn't have the exact same wrench anymore but gave me as close to the same as they had
thats a good guarantee in my book
