OK, I just got a corbin Gunfighter and lady (It looks great!) and it sits me way to far back, Im 5'7 and My legs end up almost stright and I have drag bars so Im leaning way over, the only way the seat would work is if I had beach cruzer bars that came back about 1' LOL So this seat is on its way back. :doh
So Im looking for seat options that put me closer to the bike. The bare bones I have is perfect but no good for my ass. What are my options? How are the Mustangs for seating postion is what I really need to know? Im looking at

I had a 96 sportster sport seat that did exactly what you said. I imagine the newer do the smae. Go to the dealership and sit on different bikes with different seat and you will find the right seat. If thayt does not work ask the shorter people here.

I just got a gunfighter and it sits me closer to the tank than my badlander did. Kind of uncomfortable with upshifting for me with the way my feet are now on the mids. I'm only 5'4". Before with the badlander i was kinda reaching for my drag bars but my feet were in a good position now my arms are bent a little bit which is what they should be but my feet are too straight and it is uncomfortable to upshift. I think i am going to have to take some of the padding out of my gunfighter to push me back a little bit more and also add a gel seat because i rode home 200 miles the day i got it and it is a bit stiff to say the least.

I've got the Mustang Solo and it's dimensions as far as how close it gets you to the bars mimic the stock Low model seat almost exactly.
I bought my seat used from SamIAm here on the forum, but here is an email I got from Mustang Customer Service when I was shopping for a seat:
Mustang's solo seat #76502 measures about one inch wider at the nose than
the stock seat. The distance from the front of the seat to the back of the
driver's seating area is 14". Our seat will also raise the driver's seating
height by at least one inch over stock.
Thanks for your interest in Mustang, and let us know if we can help you
further.

Just put a LePera Maverick on my '00 XLH1200. Excellent workmanship. It seats me much lower for good footing and considerably closer to the bars. It is quite firm and I haven't put enough miles on to evaluate the comfort. It has built in back support so my back is definitey much happier with this.
Good Luck

Any seat available that will sit you even closer than a Corbin Close Solo?
