The tank is clearly meant to be a chin rest.

I mean really, that bike looks more and more uncomfortable, if not outright painful, every time I look at it.

Not saying it isn't cool though. ;)

Obviously built for someone with no wedding tackle..........must be a girls bike ;)

Other than that the lines are neat BUT the bottom of the tank needs to be redone to give a horizontal line.... the angle doesn't match anything else on the bike......the top does , just not the bottom..

Pretty cool in general. I like the overall form but the gas tank looks like it was kind of just stuck on as an afterthought.

low down clipon bars and forward controls do not make for a comfy ride

that bike is a waste of a good motor and primer black paint

I beleive the frame is from Redneck Engineering, but the tank is not set on there properly. Bout the only thing they got right was the color.

There's a guy around here that buys used Buells and does that sort of thing. Interesting concept. Too much rake. Not enough rear suspension.

Thats definately a Redneck frame. Thats their "Mutant Buell" frame in "their" stock configuration of 4 out, -1 up. I have sat on the blue one they made that had the same dimensions and yes, its very awkward. They made the frame for my chop, but I went 4 out, 6 up which to me is perfect. The gas tank on that one is how they mount their sporty tanks on those bikes, and I agree it looks messed up, the bottom should be level.

Hey Guys,

See you found a picture of my bike. It's actually a ton of fun to ride, and no more uncomfortable than any other rigid I've been around, and with 108 horsepower and 93 ft./lbs. at the rear wheel it makes short work out of the rest of the bar-hopper crowd. Look for a feature on it coming in the April issue of Ironworks Magazine.

Later,
Justin

welcome Justin, I see you found your way over here from the other forums. I think the Mutant Buell is a sweet ride. Alot of the folks here prefer the "performance" or "stock" purpose of the sportster over the customs, but but there are some fine people here. This site has very little bickering over stupid things, and a lot of helpful people.

Welcome, Justin...the picture with you on the bike makes the ergonomics of it look a lot better than just the picture of the bike...I think the bike picture without a rider makes it look pretty abstract and radical. I'll be sure to grab the April issue of Ironworks so I can see it 360 degrees...nice job!
