I am interested in moving my coil from underneath the gas tan to between the heads on the left side, is there a bracket available for this? Or do I have to fab up my own? 2002 1200 Custom.

I am interested in that as well. So far all I've heard is that you need to get a new top motor mount which will include a coil bracket but I hope someone has a different solution. Aside from fabricating a custom bracket to bolt onto the mount where the horn would be... I hope I could find a nice chrome bracket I can just buy.

If anyone has any ideas, please tell us...

Peter

Thanks for the pics, but I was kinda thinking along the lines of a stock FXR type with stock chrom cover. The local HD dealer says the stock FXR cover is obsolete. Any sugestions? (the cheaper the better) :clap

Flathead45, Howdey back at ya. I'll have to make my way up there this summer. Maddog, where did you get the ignition key in the cover thing? That's pretty cool. I think I've found what I'm looking for. http://www.cyclestop.com/liltwin.html
They have kits for making your Sportster look like a big twin, but the coilmount, motormount, cover and wires are around $150. I'd post some pics with the coil mount on a bike, but I'm not quite sure how to do that. Thanks for the help guys.

Jodart...I made it myself..Got a barrel key ign lock at an indie for $20. Took the ign module from under the cover and tucked it in the first space I found under the seat. Figured out the right size hole-saw to use and the rest is history.
