How many miles was this picture taken at? Does it get better with time?

I did my 10K and the 15K myself. Each time I had about half of what is in the picture.

And I thought I had alot?

I have an idea!! how about I move this to the ( lubricants ) section??

I've never seen that much in 8 pri oil changes. Usually 1/4 or less and not Real Hairy like that either. Been all stuck to the magnet and no layering.

BTW: I put a T-Shirt over the catch bucket and check that for particles too
( Same thing for engine oil changes ).

Is this something i should print out a picture of and take it in to the dealer????

I have 5000 miles and i assume that the dealer changed at 1000.

I wonder how many shavings were not caught by the magnet. I think i will change the primary at 7500 too just to see the difference....anyone else got a pic???
