tim perry 27th January 2009, 16:48 to bplinson// first of all I'm glad You got back to Me and You are the host so I can get it straight, from the first day I guess it was in Nov. ,I was on Pashnit's site which is great, and came upon No return ticket. As soon as I got into it I couldn't believe how close to Tom and myself have in common, without every knowing Him. I too live on a lake in Maine and the winters are ruff, killing mc. season till April or even May, I've been riding and owning bikes since 1968 My wife goes with Me on trips to NC, Tenn. Sturgis as well of friends and siblings also all are wives have just recently got their permits and licences and purchased their own bikes, with Me pushing Them to realize how much better it is to drive, be in control ,be more proactive, other than sitting on the back seat, nothing that is wrong with that either! I did not want to offend anybody by sending up a red flag that I was in any way a scammer, and its too bad that because of this People can't move forward, but its Your forum and I just read the guidelines and don't want to be the villian here. My intentions were to only give thanks reward and praise to a coulple who ave been to some of the places and met some of the People My wife and I have met. I have been to Mexico 6-times in 6 years although not as deep as Tom and Heidi, My next stop is either Panama which I have had the travel book years before I posted on this site, also planning to ride from New Mexico to La Paz as soon as We can this is why like alot of others who couldn't wait to read the page see the excellant pictures etc. etc, wanted to do something for Tom and Hedi. I'm not looking to be a grandstander or look for anything out of this, I'm 55 years young and feel I have already lived a few lifetimes in what I've done.I believe in the goodness of mankind, taking care of mother earth family, doing good for People who deserve good things for their acts of kindness as these 2 have done!!I plan on retireing to Mexico in 6-7 years becase of the culture, the way families still respect each other how they resprct their religion etc everything that is getting lost in are own USA, theres more corruption lack of compassion for We as human beings more and more everyday... This is My long winded explanation of why thats all. If anyone wants check out Yucatan Living.com Forum You'll see whre I'm comming from, theres so many of Us gringgos moving to Mexico who have become disenchanted with the total BS. that is shoved down Our throats its become enou,gh to choke Me, with this I'll probably get more controversy ?? Ayway thanks for Your time and I can't help getting heavy on any issues it's My nature as I'm just an old hippie from the seventies that will always voice My opinion, and just try to do good while I'm still living I have been rewarded many times by speaking up and out, this world is so shallow and jaded and suppressed at the little things in Life .. Life is the word for Living ,, anyway on a lighter note ! of My favorite lines from Jack Nicholso in the Movie Batman is... What this town needs is an ENNIMMA... Take care and I promise I won't start any more waves or bad vibes , Where its all about the Ride....TP.

If you have something important to say then it has to be readable. Very long paragraphs which have very long sentences with random capital letters and no commas or full stops (periods) make the meaning very difficult to grasp.
I'm not insulted or insecure - I'd just like to know what you're trying to say, and why you're trying to say it. It's obviously important to you.

In this life ya get out what ya put in. If you sound like an idiot, people will treat you like one. But I mean that in a nice way :)

So much misuse of moneys' that should be going to Our elderly People who can't afford food, medicine, insurance or oil to heat their homes. Are the Mexicans responsible for this? darett 29th January 2009, 05:17 Tak a look at the big picture, going on 3-generations of food stamps,
Whats your point
Americans who have abused the welfare system, kids having babies that have no jobs and live off the state systems.
and they don't do that in mexico huh?
look at the local news everyday fraud corruption, white collar crime. So much misuse of moneys' that should be going to Our elderly People who can't afford food, medicine, insurance or oil to heat their homes.
Oh I forgot there's no corruption in mexico. Oh wait a min let me call the cops in TJ I had to pay off.
Are the Mexicans responsible for this? The list goes on and on, the banks need money because of their greed and poor business ethics, how about the credit card companies,or the big 3= automakers running the biggest industry into the ground!! Are the Mexicans responsible for this??

Dude WTF is your point? What are you trying to sell? Do you want us all to come live with you in Mexico? I don't give 2 damn taco's about Mexico. If its so sweet Mexico why are all the mexicans dying to get into the US? Because they got and get nothing! Sure you and them can earn a living in the US and then go and live like kings down there on American money. Why should you have to pay taxes we'll take care of it for you.
thatbikerguy 29th January 2009, 05:22 Please, LOCK, This, Thread!!! :doh
bplinson 29th January 2009, 07:08 Tim,
I never insinuated that you are a scammer. I told you in Cavebiker's thread that solicitation of donations is not allowed. The reason for this should be clear but apparently it is not. Let me explain.
This is a public forum that is visited by approximately 50,000 people a day. If I was to allow anyone and everyone to ask for donations it is my belief that we would get many scammers on here asking for money. I do not have time to verify the legitimacy of everyone who might ask for money so the best policy is to forbid it completely in order to protect XLF members from being ripped off. There have been a few occasions when donations have been collected but they are only on a case by case basis. This only happens when the person has asked for permission first and their need can be verified. Majority of the time the donation is send directly to a charitable organization and not directly to a person.
Cavebiker stated in his thread that he did not want any donations yet you continued to push the issue.
The members of XLF are very generous and I will not allow any one to take advantage of their generosity.
Now you have two choices.
1. You can accept and follow the guidelines I have set forth for XLF.
2. You can continue post ridiculous rants and be quickly banned from XLF.
