Was trying to replace some fender bolts and couldn't find a local dealer who carried buttonhead bolts, torx or Allen heads. Blundered into Gardner-Westcott Company (http://www.gardner-westcott.com/) and was impressed with the variety of chrome and stainless nuts, bolts, and fasteners they carry in every head configuration imaginable.
Questions:
1. Has anyone dealt with them?
2. Are there other web-based vendors who stock some of these more unique nuts and bolts, esp. in chrome or chrome-stainless, that you've done business with and would recommend?
Would appreciate your thoughts.
:clap

I've always heard that they are one of the best places for chrome hardware.

Yes I've used alot of the gardner-wescott fasteners and would say they're of the best you'll find....I get mine at at a local motorcycle shop ( they may even carry at H-D dealer) but since I have a '74 and a '53 I generally do buisness at the local "chop-shops", they really do have all the varieties I've ever needed, plus they can make spacers , brackets, etc. I know R. C. the owner of the shop I frequent the most has a stand chest litterally full of everything, torx, hex,s.a.e , metric, caps, washers, set screws, most is stainless, I guess the moral to all that B.S. is find a local shop I found I can always get what I'm looking for ....Mike

Gardner-Wescott has been a staple of Custom and Drag Bikes for many years. I have used them for as long as I can remember. Most Independent motorcycle shops will carry sets and loose individual fasteners. I have mostly stainless on my 74 XLCH and some chrome :smoke Hrdly

To add to hardly....I've systematically replaced as many fasteners on my scoots with stainless as I could, less stuff to rust and they look better and alot less corrosion

try www.alloyboltz.com. They have kits for harleys as well as other popular stuff. Polished stainless allenheads. Excellent quality. :clap I used a kit for my 04 roadster to replace those shitty torx heads after i stripped two removing them. Price is right and delivery is quick. They are also on ebay.

You can also check the boat stores. They carry all kinds of stainless due to the
salt water effects

Me too, replaced virtually every bolt, nut, washer & screw on the Iron with stainless. Porbably spent $300.00 on the stuff [do not want to add it up!]. Check the yellow pages for "Fasteners": automotive and industrial.
