yesterday i was by my local dealer open day ,he had a rocker c,buell 1125r plus the xr1200,they are the only ones to see in europe at the moment, as they must go from dealer to dealer, so he had them only for one day.the most of the people walk past the buell and the xr to look at the rocker,all the people i know with BT did not even look to the buell our the xr, ,i sat onthe rocker but found the thing way to big.when i sat on the xr it was like a old friend but in new clothes it had the right feeling.now i must only wait till i can test ride itit look like it should be fun.

don't think they are the only ones in Europe, at least for the XR since someone else on here has already posted that his dealer has one.

and someone else reported that 22 left the factory a month ago, all but 5 destined for Europe.

I wonder where the five went, Kev. I thought they were available in Europe only? Maybe the Antipodeans are getting them before the Home Crowd?:(

My guess was that they were destined for more testing... but that's just a guess...

Sounds like they'll let the customers finish the testing before they release them in the USA.

The official XR site says they will be sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. So the remaining 5 must be split up between the Middle East and Africa.

I have never visited the Middle East or Africa but how much of a market do they have there?

as far i now the xr1200 is in 2008 not for sale in the USA.

About the colour....First here in Holland they are saying ....just one color ..Orange.
So i bougt that color.
2 weeks ago.....he,s coming also in Black/Silver and Orange is now pearl orange with a more price from 210 euro.

I told them after one day thinking about witch color that i still wanne have the Orange but i don,t pay the 210 euro more for it because i buigt them before they say he is now a bitt more in price.

That was no problem so i,m still one of the first people in Holland who has alredy bougt an xr1200.

The dollar is low for us at the moment but the price whe have to pay here is still very high 13.200 euro for the xr1200 and about 300/400 euro extra for delivery , get the bike on youre name ect..

How many left the factory at the moment i don,t now ,the only thing i now is that there are a vieuw in Europe now and they are going from show to show and maybe also from dealer to dealer.

if anybody in other European countries going to a show/dealer....make pictures than because i,m wanne now what Harley maybe already has changed on the xr 1200.

When I ordered the bike (29 Nov 07) the color we saw on the HD site is pearl-orange.
I do not think that the bike that xr1200 and I purchased is much different from the one we saw on internet or I saw at the bike Shows (Paris-Milan) .
On 13 Nov 07 I was told that the bike was in its final stage and that no modifications were going to be done.

I've been told since then that they were still having trouble with some parts in testing... but time will tell.
