Unable to ride today so I heated the garage and installed the microTach+ that Santa left me.
Fitting did not take long with the help of the excellent instructions and I am very pleased with the look and operation of it.

The only downside is the suitcase connecters. I have never had any problems with them but I do not trust them. In this day and age surly a smaller and reliable connecter could have been developed.

I shall post some pics when it stops raining or I can clear out the garage of Christmas storage!

Urrell -

Why don't you trust them, especially since you never had any problems with them?

I think they are much better than having to cut three wires and splice into them for the attachment.

I have not installed mine yet only because my garage is too cold to work in. But the first warm day in March ........

I don't know why I don't trust them. I use insulation tape around them to make them more secure and to tidy them up.

But I am sure you and all others who have them will be pleased with the microtach+

<stupid question, what are the twist knobs on the handle bars for? I'm guessing it for a fairing.

They are for the detachable "National Cycles Street Shield EX" screen

I've got the same knobs on my bars for a N/C shield. Although I run their "Plexifairing 3".
Does anyone know of a mini analog tach for the sporty? I'm torn between the factory tach and a mini tach.
I like the idea of the mini tach but a sweeping needle seems more natural to me. I suppose I'm just used to analog guages.
