My dad swore by it. Made me put it on my new baseball glove when I was about 12 (1965). Found the glove buried amongst some stuff in '94. The outside was hardened but the palm area was fine. Bet if I'd put it in a plastic bag or something my son could be using it today. Reminds me to get some for my new saddlebags.

I have used neatsfoot oil on my work boots for years. Helps soften up new boots an water proof them.

Great info guys thanks. Bummer about the recent Fox Creek Leathers info though I was thinking of one of their jackets. And this Neats Foot Oil would be great on a jacket I think. If I remember correctly, my Dad used to use it years ago on his baseball glove.

Any problem using it on a leather seat?

I too used in on my baseball glove in the 50's. Still have the glove and it is soft as butter.

So I guess you're alright with taking those poor helpless neets and cutting off their feet and mashing them to a pulp in a press and taking the juice and making oil out of it just to rub on your materialistic cow-killing leather stuff????? :roflblack

Fred I think you just answered your own question. As long as you don't Armorall your seat you'll be ok.

I was warned about that as well, If you Armor all your seat, you'll slide right off it!

Careful, I've heard that neatsfoot oil will deterioate the stitching.
