Test rode an 06 Dyna Street Bob yesterday at my local dealer's open day.
Got to say I was impressed with the bike. It seems good value for money (for a Harley), but admittedly does look "half-finished" (I think that is the idea anyway).
The performance was not as good (noticeably) than mine, but to be fair mine has had a Lot of work and this was a standard bike, but the torque was good.
Handling, again, was not as sharp as mine but it was certainly stable enough.
Ride comfort was defiantly better than mine (I really like the ape-hangers) and was quite relaxing to ride.
Vibration (especially through the foot pegs) was a lot worse than my Sporty though.
I can now see what people mean when they say the Dyna is like a slightly bigger Sporty as that was also the impression I got.
I think the Dyna would be a logical next step if anyone decided to change their Sporty (I think I might next year).
Like I said,. I was impressed more than I thought I would be.
