On my '04 1200 clutch was working perfectly...little heavy but that's the way it's supposed to be..I was told. Now I washed the bike to store it for winter. Want to roll the bike into the garage, pull the clutch sart pushing ...gets heavier and heavier...finally can't push it anymore cause the clutch does nothing...it's in gear and pulling the clutch has no effect????
Anybody ever experience anything like that? Bike only has 1500 mi on it

Sounds like a broken/breaking cable

When my bike is bone cold, it has to be in neutral to push it. If it's in gear there's too much resistance even with the clutch pulled in to push it. Normal operation from what I figure. Is this what your's is doing?

There was another thread today about faulty cluches on '04's. You may want to check that out. These are just the growing pains that go with buying a brand new generation sporty. Hopefully it's under warranty.

RedRider: That is exactly what is happening, freaked me out a little cause I don't want to think about what would've happened had I started her...
Klown: yeah covered, but still a pita

Jaws- also, when my scoot is bone cold, I start it in neutral. There is a little dragging if you leave it in gear with the clutch pulled in that will cause it to slowly lurch forward some.

from the way the clutch was absolutely not grabbing I think there would have been more than a little lurching.. :) more like jumping out from under me.. I'll probably give it a whirl this weekend see if it gets better when she's warm. Thanks for putting my mind at ease though..

No problem- we all need that from time to time!
