I have seen a few posts regarding age, but no polls that gather the information.

According to the conventional wisdom, Harley riders are the "mature" members of the biking community. Please respond with your chronological age, not with how old you feel or act.

Seems that I was asked this once before. Guess I'm a little older since then. I'm 66 going on 40.

Just turned 42 and I wish I was 25 again. I had a great run with the ladies and some great trips on my sporty from 26 to 31. Norway at 27 was awesome.

Imagine that!:doh I really thought it would be skewed more towards the 50's--as you say, the downhill side. I prefer to think of it as an uphill in reverse:p

Cheer up. Maybe you will be capable of riding a Sportster for another 20 years. You could then move up (down?) to an E-glide. That's my plan.:)

I dont know what it is....I have loved harleys for ever....since my teens probably..i am 26 now....just this summer...i have managed to pick up my first Sportster.........I cant seem to understand why guys my age really arent riding Harleys........is there something i should know here??...

Currently 19 but the way I see it after your 18 age is just a number. Some of my friends are 19 and act 2 and some act 40 and the both have the same amount of fun. So do, act, say, feel whatever age you want and dont let anyone tell you any different.

If only I'd replied to this thread when it first came out I could have been in the 30-39 bracket but I just crossed over into the 40-49 bracket!

And everyone that has a harley is older than me and thinks im some punk kid with a big wallet chain. so i really fit in with no body where i live, but i have seen more younger people in my area buyin harleys. I musta started a trend, haha

Even if I would have been smart enough to buy a Sportster when I was your age, I probably wouldn't have been smart enough to hang on to it. I'll guaranty that if you keep it for the next 30 years that it will be one of your most valued possessions.

I have a Fender Telecaster guitar that I bought one month before I bought my first Motorcycle. (I'd love to have that little Honda 50S: it's probably in a landfill somewhere: and it was not anywhere as cool as your 883R is.) That guitar is the most important thing I own, by far.

On the other hand, sell it and I will also guaranty that it will be the one you look back on and think: "Why did I ever sell that bike?"

But the question was how old are we? Does that mean you and me? Or did you mean "we" as in everyone who posted?

Hard to answer the first one because I don't know how old you are, I know how old I am and also how old I feel. But if it was related to everyone that posts, then the answer will change after every post.

Therefore you can only get the average of "we" at the time of posting, but if someone else posts 5 minutes later it will no longer be accurate. I do like maths, but moving mathematics is on a whole new level.

But if it is answer 1, I would have to say "we" are A + B = C. But still I cannot calculate C, as I don;t know what the answer to B is. If the answer is 2, then technically it can never be accurate as long as people keep posting.

My question is...
