Can anyone tell if shocks from a 2001 sportster sport (gas shocks) , will fit on a 2005 roadster ? Thanks Turbota 8th January 2005, 14:37 They sure will. Here is my 04 1200R http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Turbota/LeftRear.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Turbota/RightB.jpg Phil R 8th January 2005, 15:12 You're gonna love them!! joeyhunter 9th January 2005, 02:50 Are they shorter then the stock shocks ? Thanks Turbota 9th January 2005, 02:57 stock 04-05 1200R shocks are 13 1/4" mount bolt hole to mount bolt hole. The 1200-S shocks are 13 1/2" joeyhunter 9th January 2005, 03:10 Thanks alot ! Turota and Phil R joeyhunter 10th January 2005, 13:31 Ihope i love them ! They cost me $425.00 off Ebay. They're off a 2001 1200s , with less then 100 miles on it . Supposedly they sell for over $600.00 new . Phil R 10th January 2005, 15:25 Ouch, the price has gone up since I bought for $188.00, NIB. The Connecticut guy must have run out of inventory. Turbota 10th January 2005, 15:46 TSI Harley sold the last pair on Ebay about a month ago. chipdog4 10th January 2005, 22:12 I don't know if they're flooding the market with their parts, but TSI Harley has got some great deals on ebay. Most everything of theirs is NIB, too. I'm working on the V-Wing trinkets for my brother's bike. joeyhunter 11th January 2005, 03:21 Another question , Is there a difference between 1200R front forks and 1200S front forks ? I'm trying to switch to the sport susp. Also are the handlebars differant ? Thanks to all that respond !!! SportsterSpive 12th January 2005, 01:25 I have 1200S Shocks, 1200S forks, and 1200S bars on my bike, and yes they are all different from a stock '04 883 or 1200R. 1200S forks are fully adjustible, just like the shocks. http://www.offroadrangers.com/sean/bike/bassbike2med.jpg This picture is still with 883 forks and bars. --Sean joeyhunter 12th January 2005, 13:35 Nice bike SportsterSpive, What exhaust is that (Thunderheader?)
