Hi all

The last time I changed primary oil using Spectro Sporttrans. This oil seemed ATF Dexron II for my eyes and smell like ATF. Somebody has tested Dexron II or III (synt) in his primary???

I read HD primary oil is SAE10... like Dexron.

What i "have heard" is that SportTrans is "just 10W40". Easiest is to use the same oil both top and bottom. I use Mobil1 15W50 in both. Just one product in the shop instead of two.

Thanks Mick.
Yesterday I filled primary with the same oil I used in the engine (Repsol Elite TDI 15w40), formulated for turbodiesel cars. Is rated CF4/CF. Now shifts better than using Spectro Sporttrans!!!.

To my nose, Sporttrans is most definately gear oil. Which is why Harley says not to use it as motor oil.
