I saw somewhere on here about floor boards for sportys - that thread about the little twins? Anyway I didn't see any in the parts catalog? Maybe I missed it. Has anyone seen floor boards for sporty's? Thanks

I have Arlen Ness mini floorboards. The feel of a floorboard and the clearance of a peg :)

Seen a pair on a sporty that must have been modified from a BT. They looked really nice. Need to find them and a trunk.

The Moco makes a multi-fit pair for 03 and below, I think...

I have a set on the rear of my bike....

Now I remember seeing them on your bike in another thread. But mine is an '04 so I don't know that they would fit. Thanks

These look like they might work as long as you have FwdControls.

"Both kits were specifically designed to fit all 1980-86 FXWG and all Softail or 1984-2005 Dyna Wide Glide (except Heritage and Fat Boy). However, they may be installed on any late-model Harley Davidson with male mount footpeg."

Does anyone know of a adapter kit that would allow you to use the front boards off a BT, that would fit a sporty?

...by Kuryakyn. They're not true "boards" but enough for me to rest my heel on and shift comfortably (I hope). They can be rotated and locked at any angle so they should work great for my fwd controls.

I've seen some full sized FB's that use only the one female mount (per side of course). Just make sure there's a clear pic so you can see that they have the male part like your pegs do.

There might be a problem tho with something getting bent with all that leverage on one mounting point. Hey I have an idea, an adapter for the Touring type ones! Oh yeah, that was your idea ;) !

I got a set of the Kuryakyn Iso Wings and tried them on my forward controls but I didn't like it. It was nice to be able to move my foot around a little, but getting my left foot under the shift peg was a little awkward. I also had a problem with them wanting to come loose and rotate on me.

I went ahead and changed to some Kuryakyn Switchblades which I like much better. I put the Iso Wings on my highway bars (very comfy). Eventually after I get another set of pipes (clearance issue) I might pick up another pair of Iso Wings to put in place of my passenger pegs because my wife says she wants more foot room.

I bought mine through http://www.hellrisercustoms.com/index.php their website sucks and so does their return policy, but the prices were significantly cheaper than anything else I could find. You have to look around, the "sportster" page doesn't have the wing boards, they are in "softails/customs" section.

On second thought, to make it easy, here is their footpeg page (http://www.hellrisercustoms.com/selector.php?group=4&category=Footpegs&subcat=Footpegs&title=Footrests%20and%20footpegs%20for%20Softails)

does that mean you don't like the stirrups? i was thinking about getting a set, but i'd be interested in hearing from others who have some experience with them, especially w/forward controls...

The stirrups are nice. Just looking for a change and to see if they are a little more comfortable for the longer rides

Detsuh i've got the iso wings too and have no problem with them on the forward controls. You can adjust the shifter up a little if you need more room for your foot and there's a allenhead adjustment on the underside of the mini wing to keep it from moving. I've had mine on for 5 months and they have'nt moved at all. Plus along with my corbin seat and new handlebars it feels like cruising down the freeway in a lazyboy chair!:tour

Yeah, that allenhead adjustment screw is what kept coming loose on me. The iso wings worked alright on my forward controls, but I think it is just a personal preference thing. For me, I like to be able to move my feet around a bit and like to change my foot position quite a bit. The switchblades give me the best of both worlds, I can have them as stirrups if I want, or fold them in so they are like a wide peg.

I've gotten used to having the iso wings on the highway bars now. Just out of curiosity I tried out a set of regular pegs there once, but I switched them back after just a few days, I liked the wings too much.

I'm still working on perfecting the right set up for me. First it was the pegs, right now I'm changing the handlebars, and with any luck, next summer I'll get a new seat.

I have the Kuryakyn Switchblades and properly adjusted they make for a nice and practical way of mixing both worlds. I can feel like I have regular footpegs around town and for the highway I can drop the blades for that floorboard feel.

Not bad I would say the only negative Is they have a 1 1/2 inch extender on them for the flip and sometimes I find myself with my foot too close in, resting on the extenders instead of where they are intended. However all in all I love the feel when I'm on the highway and flip them down.

Nothing is available. I've been looking for years. Sometime ago, making Sportys look like BTs was in fashion and I saw a few back then. Maybe you can find something with a google search.
