I’m not here starting arguments on which oil brand or type is better, I am simply asking can I use regular Mobil 1 synthetic in my transmission as fluid.
If so what weight is recommended?

Some people do with no problems. either 15W-50 or 20w-50

For wet clutches some folks say to be careful with oils
tha contain Molybdenum, or “moly”, that is one difference between
some MC oils and auto oils. Most MC oils like Mobil1 MX4T (20w-50) ,
Amsoil MC as well as all HD oils and SportTrans fluid contain zero Moly.
That is why they say it safe for the primary

Of course I know of riders that use Mobil1 15w-50 (auto) in the trans
with no problems either. While Mobil1 Auto 15w-50 does contain some
moly it's a fairly low amount and maybe that's why they have not
had any problems.

I use Mobil1 15/50 in both eng and tran. Decided to do that after reading many opinions here. Works real good for me. One less product in my shop. Many have said that the tranny shifts better, is less noisy, whatever. I notice NO difference at all. It ran quiet and easy shifting before and still does.
