I have a 1967 sportster 883 and I had it bored 30 over and was wondering how many cc's it is now.
1959 to 1971:
bore 3.000 in, 76.20 mm, 7.620 cm. radius = 7.620/2 = 3.81 cm
stroke 3.8125 in, 96.82 mm, 9.682 cm
volume of a cylinder = pi * r^2 * h
= 3.1415927 * 3.81^2 * 9.682
= 441.53476 cc per cylinder
= 883.06952 cc
new bore size = 3.000 + .030
= 3.030 in
= 3.030 * 2.54
= 7.692 cm. radius = 3.8481 cm
new volume
= 3.1415927 * 3.8481^2 * 9.682
= 450.40961 cc per cylinder
= 900.81922 cc
