I have no clue why, but people tend to just walk up to my black nightster and wipe dust off of it with their bare hands, no matter how many times I rant about how awful that is, it still manages to happen, now my paint is whirled all to shit...I used to detail cars but was never taught to properly buff out scratches and whirls, anyone want to give me some tips on this and a good product(s) to use?

I don't know either, so I'll be watching for a solution with you.

Is that a fine rubbing or polishing compound?

Polishing....safe on clear coats. I use it on my Vette and it does a nice job. They make it for light and dark finishes. You can't feel any abrasive in it but it works nice.

I'm going to try it, thanks much.

Really? Maybe im doin it wrong?? My bike is black, and I just put it on and wipe it off in a circular pattern and doesnt seem to work? The chrome polish from HD works really well by the way!!

Mine's black. I use Meguire's High-Tech Yellow 26. Shines it up like glass.
You could even hang a sign on your bike saying, "Go ahead, rub your filthy asses all over my bike and feel it up, too! I'm not worried because I use Meguire's! Now GTF outa here!"
