Some time back I had seen an advertisement for a (here comes the bad description) airfoil/wing that sticks across the upper-rear portion of the helmet. It is supposed to change the airflow to reduce lift and turbulence. Anway, I had thought of it the other day and now I can't find any info about it. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

That's what I was thinking of also...I knew I had seen and read about them..just couldn't remember exactly what it was....Good man gilx!!:smoke

I remember wwwaaayyyy back, I was watching some program on TV, maybe 15 years ago or more. Program was about wind tunnel testing or something, and some helmet company was trying out these little strips on the top rear of the helmet to reduce lift. They were 3 little bimps, about 3/16"w x 3/16" high, and 4" long running horizontally. Barely noticable. they showed with the wind tunnel "smoke" how wind will wrap itself around a helmet and create lift, and then showed how these bumps actually create a turbulence in that wind and pretty much disperse the "lifting" effect. I always kept that in the back of my mind and remember it pretty vividly, and I alwayse looked at helmets thereafter to see if they had the strips. I never really saw any that had them, and wondered why it never caught on.
