Anyone have anything other than the stock fromt fender? I don't want to run fenderless and the HD Sport fender is a but steep at $190 painted.

I found some ABS plastic fenders on Dennis Kirk's website for around $45-50 unpainted. Does anyone have any experience with these? They look pretty good and it seems they'd be easy to modify some.

If you're running a non-stock fender, please post a pic. Thanks.

Try ebay - I just bought a new primer coated genuine HD sport fender for $34 plus shipping - even with painting, this is a lot cheaper than from the dealer.

You might get lucky if you keep your eyes open.

Cheers,

I must be buying from the same guy...I'm watching an auction for the steel HD sport fender right now. I just have to decide which I like more...the plastic ones don't have any body lines on them, just a smooth fender all the way around, so it would be more modern looking.

It's going to be tough to decide, but I agree, you can def. have either painted and come out way ahead of what the dealer would charge.

Here's the link for the plastic one:

The Dennis Kirk fender is an after market fender.

The genuine HD sport fender does have the body lines just like the steel one.

Cheers,

Have you checked J&P Cycles, Jireh Cycles, Usa Twins, Wallys Cycle World?
I have found Jireh to have the best prices on most parts, but sometimes it pays to check around. I have also seen somewhere on here that member leofrantic gives xlforum members a discount, cant remember his website address though. PM him.
