I have always been curious about these, Ive looked around almost everywhere to see if anyone makes these and I finally found one. Has anyone heard of this company? The only wide tire kit Ive ever seen on a sporty was a guy that fab'd his own, it looked ok and he said he could make me one too but I would feel more comfortable with an actual company making them, you know? Heres the website---> http://cas4.com/Wide-Tire/230-xl-kit-03.htm

Here are a couple more places to checkout. Some have some fairly complete kits. I am in the fabricate it your self camp. I did my 180 conversion by hacking a stock swingarm up. Either way you proceed, you are going to do a fair bit of fabrication and fitting work yourself. If you are concerned with the quality of the kit and the parts, look for TUV approval (European DOT) or stick with a company you trust.

There is probably a bunch more places now. These were just some that I had marked. Don’t be afraid to jump in there and start cutting.

Personally I feel if you're gonna do it make it a 240mm or 250mm tire. Doing a 180mm or even a 200mm seems to me to be a waste of time and money. Just my 2¢.

Here's another website:
www.atlasprecision.com (http://www.atlasprecision.com)

Seems like this company is only doing conversions.

the company that makes the kit for CAS4 and many others is T & N Racing

I bought my pulley directly from them...

I think the 180-200 kits look the best on a sporty. The shocks stick out to much on a 250.

heres a link to the build to date. you can see how much fab would typically need to go into one. i did mine in 6 months but i was only working on it a couple hours a night 2 day out of the week at the time

Not sure how I like that. I was thinking that might be cool, but the fender looks too squared off at the edges, perhaps if it followed the shape of the tire in roundness it would look better? Its definately different, though, which I do like.

actually the fender follows the exact lines of the stock one only wider. its a wcc steeler. they are identical shapes minus the width also that rear end shot is with the old shocks. the new ones (they are in the other pics) lowered it another 1 inch and it looks way better
