Ok.. Went to the dealer for an estimate on replacing my tires.
$450 installed. :roflblack

Took estimate to my indy and showed it to him.. He looks at it and goes what the :censor Kent.. You always make me laugh when you bring these in here.

So he says he'll do it for $300 out the door with Dunlops installed or for an extra $20 Metzlers..

Good deal or no? My time with the bike is limited as it is so I don't have the time to pull the wheels and install them myself.

Thanks,

-K

I paid right at $200 for Dunlops and my indy put them on for another $50. I don't think $300 is too bad.

If I didn't have time to pull em myself, I'd gladly pay a local indy $300-320 for both... honestly, I want these guys to stay in business. They're a good place to go for a state inspec or to buy something or to get help fixing something if you ever need too.

It takes me at least two hours to do either with basic hand tools. I do take my time and I'm including all my time (beer included). The tires will cost me $180.00 pr. shipped so I would say that is a pretty decent price. Anyone who does it for a living will probably be faster. More experience and maybe better tools. I usually change my rear brakes when I change the rear tire also, depending on wear but it is pretty much a replace while I'm there thing.
