I like Sportster.org (not as much as this wonderful site of course ;) ) and I'm trying to gather as much info as possible on Harley tax to decide if I can do any of the work myself. Sportster.org has this information below, and there are a few details at this link that I've already seen contradicted here (but they are probably just matters of differing opinions). Yet given those minor discrepancies, I just wanted to make sure, in general, that this is a good guide for an overview of what goes into project.

Also, if there are any other resources online that explain the work involved, especially resources that explain things from a "Sportster for Dummies" point of view, I would really appreciate it. I'm always looking online for info and I have the Haynes service & repair manual but the more info I can find, the better. I'll do the work during the cold months if I do it myself and so I have time to read up and make sure I understand how everything works before digging in.
