Just picked up a Buell Blast for the wife and there are some wear spots on the tank cover. Is this color molded into the plastic, i.e., can scratches and marks be buffed out, or are they there to stay? BTW, my wife's a new rider and thinks the Blast is perfect for her.

Yes, the color os the plastic, not paint.

it depends how deep for whether they can be buffed out. get some Novus Plastic polishing compound. #3, #2, and #1. Start with #3.
