Does anyone no where I can get a set of 2.5" header pipes for x1.Got a V&H SS2 can from A.S.B and found my old unit (same make and model)a half inch smaller in diam .:censor My mistake for not checking the o.d of the pipe,but you would think the same make an model of can would be the same size...well I did :doh

I saw a couple sets of x-1 2.5 in. primary/header sets on ebay in the last day the 2.0 in set is the primary pipe dia. listed in parts manual for euro. bike along with different gearing in primary case, rear pulley and front pulley to help it meet euro. noise laws that were in place at time of manufacture.
Your x-1 will make more power with the 2.5 in. system but I would highly advise
you to install a race ecm as the stock usa one is lean on mixture and short on timing with the stock muffler to meet e.p.a. regs. and since your bike had 2.0 in. it may have been built for euro. market and there stock ecm is has a top speed lean out to limit the top speed to e.u. laws. The race ecm will give you a 6800 rpm rev limit instead of 6200, much better throttle response, no more lean stumble and a cooler running longer lasting motor. Race ecm's are listed all the time on e-bay or try the web and go to american sport bike site as they have both listed plus a ton of other great speed parts (Buell onlyl)
