I finally bought an '07 Sporty Roadster. The refinements from 2004 to 2007 are what sold me. Makes my old '79 FXEF Shovel seem Neanderthal by any measure. It's nice to have a real quality old school "standard" motorcycle with soul. I've always had a running street bike for the last 30+ years and couldn't imagine life without one. The XL shares space with a sweet 1986 GL1200A that I've ridden since purchased in early 1990. This forum is a real useful one and that's why I'm "in". Meanwhile I'm trying to stay sane during Winter. I have the Roadster indoors (love those 31.7" handlebars...) in my heated storage. Added a charging pigtail today and stroked her lovely curves...
I live in Connecticut and Winter can be mild for a streak or just suck like this year. Looking forward to gaining from the experienced XL owners. I rack up serious miles and this Sportster is so smooth and torquey the Wing may get some rest time even on longer 2 up trips. Wishing a safe 2008 happy throttle twisting season to all. :tour

Thanks All! I really eat up all the pics of your scoots. I gotta say Slealthammer has a hell of a Bob-Job, the bike is hairy and muscular looking. That's the thing with a Sportster, it can be anything the owner wants from corner carver to bad=a$$.
