I'm looking to add a microtach to my '08 XL1200N. It has an HD Screamin' Eagle race tuner ignition. It would be great to use the data diagnostic port, if possible. Anyone have this configuration? or know which model microtach/adapter I would need. Thanks in advance.

You need the 2004+ digital bus version. The diag port works fine, I know of at least 2 other guys doing this, and I've run for a couple months that way. The connector be bought from Batt's Racing. What do you have your Redline set at?

Thanks, Justin. The SE Race tuner isn't on the bike yet, but when it is, I'll ask the tech. what the redline is set at. Are you asking because there's a way to set the redline on the microtach?

There are 3 options for Redline flash on the microTach+ Tachometer

1. Standard 5700 RPM
2. No Redline flash (free upon request)
3. Custom setting ($40 Custom charge)

Once set it can not be changed. You can still read the RPM value even though it flashes.
