Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I live in SD and just bought a 2000 XL1200C. It's my first bike and I haven't even gotten to ride it yet - temps around 0 and 6" of new snow... Very anxious to get on the road. This looks like a good forum group, and I'll have several newbie questions, so I'll be seeing you around.

Marty

Pics are now in my gallery...

Welcome. At first I though SD meant San Diego until I saw the 0 and 6" of snow. Enjoy. You picked a great bike.

Welcome to the forum. As a newbie here myself I have quickly found this place to be very useful.

And I must admit my stupidity...it took me a second or two to realize SD was not San Diego!!!

Welcome to the forum from Texas. Newbie and first time bike owner too. Be sure and take the new rider course and dont be ashamed of doing a lot of parking lot practice. The 1200 is a lot of bike with lots of low end torgue, it will try to get away from a newbie, till you get a handle on it.
