Does anyone have the Detachable Touring Windshield part # 58164-96A?
I currently have the Quick Release Detachable Compact Windshield - Standard-Height part # 58063-04 and am wondering what the difference is in the size of these two windshields.
Thanks.

I have the same one as you and aside from being a little low it works fine.

For the most part that windshieldt works fine for me but at this time of the year with temperatures not too much higher than freezing, I am looking for a bit more protection. I get buffeting over 65 mph from around the windshield. The engine guard chaps provide protection to the legs but with these I get more wind buffeting to the helmet. I think fork lowers would prevent that but I have not as yet been able to find any fork lowers for the Sportster. A larger windshield might help as well.

Memphis Shades makes lowers. I don't think you have to have a Memphis Shades shield either because I bought the MS lowers for my ACE and they didn't hook to the shield or anything...they were stand alone.

Kath thanks for the info. I checked their site and it looks like the Memphis Shades lowers ought to work for me. :banana

canroc,
Keep us updated when you get your memphis lower. Pics if you can. I have the same windshield and wondered how that memphis lower would look and work.
