I have an 04 Sportster and am considering doing a "Fatster" Conversion.
My question is...Has anyone ever put a Fatboy front end on a sportster? I have a chance at getting 2003 FB front end cheap. Will it fit without a multitude of modifications? Thanks

I don't know off hand , but if you measure the steering stem (length and diameter) and compare it to the sportys measurement this will give you a good guess

There are a few sites that deal with fatster conversions. Do a google search and you'll find them.

There are several good reasons that come to mind...

1. Because it is more fun to work on the bike rather than buy a finished
product that will still take additional time and money to make it the way I want.

2. Because it will give something to do (cause NE Ohio Winters SUCK!)

3. Because A Fatboy will never be as quick and nimble as a Sportster!!!

4. Because I can build the bike cheaper than I can buy a FB. Money, Money, Money!!!

5. And Most importantly...because I want too.

I believe every bike should have it's own charecter and
not look like it was store bought like the the other millions
of bikes out there running the streets. Keep us posted and send
us pics so we can see the progress. ;)
