Hello ,
I will like to know which product exactly is necessary it to buy to paint my cylinders of 1000 cast iron and the casings out of aluminium, I seek a painting resistant to the shocks and time.
I live in Gabon :smoke , think that I can find this type of product in South Africa? Thank you, and good road

No reason why not. Look for a black heat resistant paint found in most all auto parts places, usually used for exhausts etc.

Wouldn't powdercoat be better in high heat area's?
Nothing worse than standing there and watching
paint peel or burn off a hot engine :yikes

Good high heat paint shouldn't do that if properly applied. I'm not crazy about powder coating Barrels and heads. Too much insulative value.

they sell high heat paint that will withstand 1400* , thats more than the outside of your barrels will ever see
I've used that type of paint on the exhaust pipes of my trumpit and it doesn't burn off

The black cylinders and heads on my 04 1200R are powdercoated from the factory.
Just my opinion .... but, if I was to re-paint them, I would get them powdercoated. Powdercoating is permanant, painting is not. High temp paint will certainly take the heat, but again, it won't last near as long as professionally applied powdercoating.
