Greeting forumites,

Today I bring you sad news.
Today, one of my friends is due to be retired.
My jean jacket has been with me since '89 when I joined the Navy.
It's been all over the world, from the persian gulf, to vladivostok, to japan, to africa. It's been on many a ride with me on my sporty, and I'm devistated at having to put her down. :(
The collar is pretty much gone, the seams on the sleaves are coming apart.
It really is a sad day.

The good news is I saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico, and buying a new jacket on ebay for $29 :clap

Definetly! Find some use of it. Have it made into a wallet, or a tool bag. You just can't turn your back and leave behind such a valuable friend!

Bless the that blue jean biatch. May it RIP.

Seriously, Mike had a good idea if it's possible with your worn out, mileage infested rag.

will probably look into seeing if i can have the collar fixed somehow.

that's that main thing really. it has 2 layers of denim, and the layer that's normally closest to your neck, is totally gone.
Road Chick makes fun of me when I wear it.
:(
She calls it my raggedy jacket

She's jealous and if you dare throw it away I'll bet she steal's it out the trash!
You can't by that kind of history in a jacket!

About time, I didn't say anything on the CHOC Run, just met ya, but that poor thing has had better days a couple of pieces of denim held together by 3 threads.
Don't toss it, it's earned a distinguished place in the closet.

Put that puppy on e-Bay...some RUB will pay $125.00 for something like that!:D

Seriously, tho, I had an ol' hippy paisley shirt from the 60's that I wore til you could see through it...my g/f at the time framed it into a picture frame, and I still have it on the wall...talk about bringing back memories! :smoke

So wear yours as a vest til it really goes, then frame it and put it on the wall above your Sporty!

How did I know we were gonna get one of those notorious eyebrow smilies?? I live for those Mokie; thanks for not letting me down! Now, what I could send you . . . . hmmmm . . . . how about some of the old dead love bugs I scraped off my windshield? They bring with them the message of love, and they're ALWAYS doing something naughty which warrants the eyebrow smiley!!!!:D ;)
