Scored me an S&S Tear drop Super A/C Cover kit at my local Indie for my 05 1200 Custom. I'm going to slap it on this Saturday morning. It is a chrome one and looks bad ass. Damn I can't wait to put it on. The stock ham can is too big and covers up the motor. As for performance, I have talked to quite a few folks and they say the S&S A/C is less restrictive in air flow than that of the stock with SE A filter.

Well I will slap it on and let ya all know. I know one thing, it going to look killer on there.

I just put one on mine and I cant believe how much better it is then the ham can with a K&N replacment filter. I had no carb farts with the K&N and the motor laid over on the top end real bad but with the S&S it pulls like mad and I got my carb farts back I have a 48 pilot but now I need washers. Also it gives you more knee clearance and it looks sooooo coool

Because of the stage one and pipes I did already. That is what I was told by HD as well as a couple of indies here in my neck of the woods. I'm running 45 jet/175 main. I was told I could switch from the stock ham can w/ SE AC directly to the S&S Teardrop AC without any issues and that I would get better perfromance with more air flow.

I was thinking that we needed to do some tweaking but I was told, nope...l

It flows great and the classic teardrop shape can't be beat IMHO.

I will bet you get farts again I had to go from 45 to 48 with 2 washers to get rid of the carf farts and also a 185 main Dont be surprized if you need to I had 0 carb farts with my K&N but with the S&S they came back big time and my 1200 only pulled to 90 mph before it fell like it was falling off I ran it up past 120 the other day and it pulled like hell all I know is the S&S is a whole lot better for power than the K&N and I love the looks.
