I have a two car garage... just barely enough room (with the junk I have in there) for two cars and my bike.

I could probably fit another bike if I cleaned it out.

If I was single, I could/would.

But alas you have to choose your battles and I keep the bike in the garage.

I don't think it would fly with the wife....but I'd FIND a way to get it into the basement,if I had to....

Short of that, I bought a woodstove for the garage (after I finished insulating it)...so she stays pretty comfy most of the time...

the bike, not the wife.... :laugh

The Sporty sleeps in the garage and the DL1000 sleeps in a metal shed in the backyard. The Sporty stays dry and the DL collects moisture.

I have a 2 stall garage and keep it in there between the boat and car. I think trying to get it in and out of the house would be asking for dropping it since its not a straight shot and up a cement step.

If I could find a way to drive my bike down the 4 wooden steps into my bedroom at the house I live in at school I sure as hell would! But she stays in the shed outside which the previous owner of my house kept his Electra Glide and Sporty in. I don't dare roll her into the house because the stairs probably couldn't hold her weight.

Single car garage. Usually by itself but when the Expedition has to come in so the wife doesn't get wet, the bike goes on the jack and tucks up nice to the cabinets and shares the space nicely.

Mine has its own room, makes it easier to check on in the middle of the night. ;)

My wife said she doesn't have a problem with me working on any project in the house as long as she never has to ask me to move the transmission before she takes a bath!!!

In the garage covered, on craftsman lift and the battery tender is plugged in. it might snow today. hey some of these responses sound like larry the cable guy, is he a member here. just funnin. we have a living room with furniture that nobody uses but it wouldn't fit through the door and that just isn't going to happen in this life. I love my bike but not in the house.

I have a big room that we store our junk in and the washer and dryer are in. There is a sliding door onto the patio. I'm able to wiggle the handle bars and roll it in and out easily. She lives in there all the time I'm not riding her. The wife objected at first, but now she sees it my way.

Right now both of our bikes are in the garage and the car/truck are in the driveway. (have been all summer...)

Husband is finishing up our "Motorcycle Storage Building"! All that's left is to build the ramps. It's gonna be sweet.....

In the house? No...they are gonna have their own house. It's 12 X 16. The link below is a pic, but not a very good one. Siding, shingles and shutters match our house....

I have a huge basement/shop. Lots of woodworking tools, my welder, and every hand and power tool available, etc. There is room for my bike, Shark Babe's ride, and my riding partner's Dyna. We have a Craftsman lift and plenty of room to work. TV, frig, lounge chairs, etc.

As I got older and decided what I really wanted in a home, I decided that a massive work area was essential. Even if little work gets accomplished, it is an escape of sorts. This was something my Dad always wished for, never got, and I never understood his passion for such a place. Now I do. And I guess I am more fortunate than he...

Winter in Mich is long and gray. Being able to work on the bike brings light and life to a dreary time... How I'd love to share this place with some of y'all!!!

The garage abuts our large family room and it would be an easy move into the house but, alas, the wifie won't have it. Unless we move, the bike and wifie's car stay in the garage while my car sits in the driveway.

my garage is part of my house, so i can walkin in the house from the garage, even in the coldest nights i doubt my garage gets under 50 deg. so i turn on the
porty elec heater, turn on my chepy radio and blisfully polish her up. life is good.
it helps to live in sunny so california
the good no bugs,no humidity, no snow almost no rain. 45 deg is a cold morning that will go up to 70 deg by noone.
the bad too many folks and no trees to see. not green just brown outside.

We keep ours in the workshop. The whole room is bigger than our living room and my man lives there all the time so how do you define a living room? He has got a great stereo, every tool needed s separate shower and a small kitchen down there. Next he will be wanting curtains for the windows. Its nice and warm and the only thing missing is a bed...

Don't think that parking the bike inside would be good for my health...plus (see house) it would be hard to get up the stairs. I have been parking it under the house with a Nelson Rigg cover.

I used to have some friends come over every fall and help me drag the bike into the dining room. It had it's good points-the ol girl stayed warm and dry all winter, she was pretty thoroughly polished by the time spring rolled around, and it was nice having a 500 pound vibrator handy for 'adventurous' dates....lol

But, I moved on up in the world, and got a garage. I kinda miss having the bike inside for the winter.....

Lily stays in the garage. But, back in the day ('80), I shared an apartment. I put the Suzuki in the living room until the apt manager found out, then it was in the lot.

If I could clean up the garage some (alot), then maybe I could get a car in there. Right now I have enough room to get Lily and my sons' bicycle in there and I'm able to walk about halfway back.

Mine stays in the detached 2-car garage along side the wife's bike and minivan. I cover both bikes with cotton bed sheets so the dust stays off 'em.

For those of you who actually bring it into your house, does your insurance agent know? I gotta believe if you had a house fire, you would have some explaining to do. I wonder how that works...
