I got the new sprockets and o-ring chain installed. I have 3 spacers between the rear sprocket and the hub, and it still rubs the 140 rear tire just a wee bit. Now I am also concerned about alignment of the two sprockets. Can i put a spacer behind the front sprocket? I kinda don't think so, but i gotta ask ...

Gotta ask, is your wheel straight in the swingarm?

When i had the bike stripped down to a bare swingarm, i drilled a small hole on each arm about 10" or so from the back end - similar to my '98. So i use that to check rear wheel alignment. It is spot on, measuring from the middle of the axel to the hole; same on both sides.

Same wheel? Tire? Sprocket matches original? O-ring chain can be wider than standard, but that means you were real close to begin with.

My Sporty has a 150 rear tire and there is some 1/2" between tire and chain. Chain is the BIG O-Ring from Tsubaki.
I have a sprocket with a offset and a spacer. Look at the chain conversion tread for part numbers etc.!
