Well after thinking about bobbing my rear fender for a brief moment, I went ahead and started today. Here are some pics...

All in all it took about 30 mins to complete. Still have some filing to do, but the fenders and tank are coming off for a new paint job. Still waiting on a chrome pyramid cover for the holes and a side mount license bracket with brake light.

Why not have the license plate holes filled in as long as you're painting the fender ?

The rest of you fender cuters should take note. This is the first time I have seen a cut one that actually makes sense. Cut off smooth and the fender is squared which makes all the dif. to my eyes. I like itcut this way.

I ordered the cover before I decided to cut...

All you need is a 16 or 18 guage metal blank welded in to cover the
3 holes. Shouldn't take more than 1 extra day for a good painter
time he gets it filled, sanded down, and primed ready for paint.

I don't think you will be happy knowing those 3 holes still exsist under
the cover. More of a clean look IMHO.

Dude i saw this on a website

and I thought of your chop job this seems to fit under the fender. It was made for a Shadow but if it works it might be a unique look.
