Ordered the MS Slim windshield with detachable hardware and finally got to put it on over the weekend. The Slim is 18" wide and 17" tall. As was said before, installation is a snap and all tools were provided with the exception of one wrench. Adjustment of the windshield is fairly easy. I set mine to mirror the angle of the forks. When I sit on the bike, the windshield comes up to my nose (I'm 6' 1" with a HD Sundowner for a seat).
Okay, first ride, the wind was blowing 20-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. I headed out for 10 miles with the wind at my back. Not much noticeable difference running 70 mph. I made a sweeping right hand turn putting the wind coming from the side. The shield acted like a sail. The bike seemed to require extra leaning to keep from going into the other lane. I expected this because I had a smaller windshield on at one time and it did the same thing in a strong cross wind. Turned back into the wind for 10 miles head on. The shield kept probably 90% of the wind off of me. I had a little buffeting from the sides and a little from the top, but it was a definite improvement. Met oncoming traffic and there was little or no windshear felt when going by. I'm not big on shields, but figured I'd get one for road trips to ease the wind fatigue and on the bugs. I really like this one because it is easy to take off and put on. It also performs like champ in the worst conditions.

Nice review doc!

I've considered getting one of these shields. Nice to get an objective view with the good along with the bad on a review. Thanks!

I have this same shield on my current bike. I really like it alot. I little to no buffetting with this slim shield. I got terrible buffetting with the Fats shield I had on my last bike and had to get lowers, but with the slim one I don't need them.

So, a thumbs up from me to :)
