:welcome to the site from Houston, TX!

Man, 3 miles! You must not live far from the dealer! I rode mine about 40-50 miles the first day... Then again February's in Houston are not that bad. It was about 50* the day I bought mine.

Woow,
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome I come from another close knit Corvette family where everyone helps each other out being with advice or parts.
Looks like the Sportster family is the same I'm looking forward to many years of making new friends and riding my Nightster. I have been lurking on here for a few weeks to learn a few things I just wanted to have my bike before I piped up.

I purchased my bike for the guy who ask at Thiels Wheels in Upper Sandusky. I must give them a plug I had a Nightster on order from another dealer due in mid April I received a letter from the dealership with the conformation from Harley about my oreder with the scheduled delivery date moved to mid June. I called the dealership and ask why was told that the Sportster line was behind from high demand. I told them that I didn't feel it would be fair to myself to wait so long and if I could get my deposite back .

I was given all of it back from them ,the only reasone was being patient was that they sold me the bike at $500.00 off MSRP no freight ,no setup. My friend who just bought a used bike from Thiels Wheels ask me to go help him get it home "a 2 hour ride 1 way" I meet the general mgr and we hit it off . He gave me sh*t about not buying my Nighster from them. I told him that no one even came close to my deal in my area being Dayton Ohio .

He told me that he would sell me a Nightster at the same deal well I didn't know but just three days later I had to take him up on the offer. They didn't have a Olive/Black but found me one in "TEN MINUTES" what a great bunch of guys up their I passed up over a dozen shops to get to them and they made it worth my while.

Thanks agian everyone for the warm welcome.
